Nashville songwriter Kate Sullivan returns to her small Wisconsin hometown, ten years after leaving with no intention of ever coming back. The local paper mill has been shuttered, putting Kate's parents out of work and forcing them to move out of her childhood home. While she's come home to help them transition, Kate soon finds herself torn between her daughterly obligations and the fear of finally facing the memories that she has been running from for years. PAPER VALLEY is an intimate one-act musical that features a stirring folk-rock score. The musical is a 2025 O'Neill National Music Theatre Conference Semi-finalist and had its first workshop at the NY Film Academy in 2024.
